Former President Jimmy Carter Reveals His Dying Wish While In Hospice Care
With his 100th birthday approaching and what appears to be a nearing end, former President Jimmy Carter has expressed his dying wish while in hospice care at his Georgia home. Reports say the 99-year-old has grown weaker by the day, but he is surprisingly alert and still interested in today’s politics.
According to his grandson Jason Carter, Jimmy simply wishes to vote for presidential candidate Kamala Harris in the forthcoming November elections. Jason told the Atlanta-Journal Constitution that his granddad is also keen on the ongoing war in Gaza, amongst other matters.Jimmy Carter looks forward to voting
The U.S. presidential election is set to be held weeks after Jimmy turns 100. Early voting in Georgia starts as soon as October 15, and he is hopeful about staying alive until then. Jimmy has been in hospice for over a year, outliving his wife Rosalynn, who died at 96 after suffering from dementia.

Jimmy’s long life has been ridden with a series of illnesses at different times, including metastatic melanoma in 2015, which spread to his brain but was soon stopped by radiation treatments. He suffered a series of falls in 2019, requiring multiple stitches and surgery for recovery.
Amid these challenges, Jimmy maintained a positive attitude and continued to show up for as long as he could.
